Cape Cod-based singer-songwriter Catherine King is set to release her first full-length album on October 2, 2018. Produced and recorded at Brick Hill Studio in Orleans, MA by Grammy-nominated Jon Evans, the album also features drummer Liam Hogg and fiddle player Dinah Mellin.
The album, titled Hold On To Your Heart consists of nine original songs and two cover tunes. This is a first for Catherine, who usually does not do covers.
"These two songs have meaning to me, and I thought I'd do something different and record them, and include them on this record. I hope I did them justice."
The title track is the only co-write on the album. Written with Steve Hamilton, the song is the result of Catherine's efforts to grow her writing through collaboration.
"I don't usually co-write, and I'm still trying to learn how to relax and just be open to all possibilities. It can be tough sometimes though because my songwriting is very personal. I'm trying to be more objective these days."
Hold On To Your Heart will be available for download on CDBaby.com on October 2, 2018, and CDs will be available there soon as well. You can also buy a CD by going to www.catherinekingmusic.com and leaving a message there.
