Neil Young has asked for his music to be removed from Spotify, citing what he says is the spread of "fake information about vaccines" by podcast host Joe Rogan. In an open letter to his management and label, which has reportedly now been removed from his website, the artist notes that "Spotify has a responsibility to mitigate the spread of misinformation on its platform, though the company presently has no misinformation policy”. This wouldn't be the first time that the Canadian artist has removed his music from the platform. In 2015 he temporarily pulled most of his music from services including Spotify, blaming the streaming audio fidelity, which he wrote at the time is “the worst quality in the history of broadcasting..." (Rolling Stone)
